Toshiba Corporation responds to tree planting initiative for protecting the environment.

In order to respond to and take initiative for environmental conservation efforts, Toshiba Corporation and The People Committee of HCM City has organized a tree-planting event on the 29th September. This event will kick-start with a "Ceremony of Tree plantation" at An Nhon Tay - Cu Chi - Ho Chi Minh City.
Participating guests of the event include the Representatives from The People Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Toshiba Corporation, Urban Public Transportation of Ho Chi Minh, People Committee of Cu Chi District, People Committee of An Nhon Tay ward, and members from related Departments of Ho Chi Minh City. Staff from the Saigon zoo and Botanical Garden also participated in the event.
This tree-planting program at An Nhon Tay is a part of the "1.5 Million Trees Plantation Project" started by Toshiba Groups all over the world. During the tree-planting event, 500 trees will be planted at Sai Gon Safari Park in An Nhon Tay - Cu Chi - Ho Chi Minh City. It is hoped that with the addition of 500 trees, the diversified ecology of this natural habitat could be protected, and the ecological environment improved to stand against the harsh changes of the weather. Toshiba Corporation hopes that the tree plantation effort can contribute to environment conservation.
This event is significant as it represents a conscientious effort in protecting the Environment and the Earth. Furthermore, this also marks the friendship between Vietnam and Japan, and it is hoped that bilateral ties between the two nations would continue to improve and develop from now on.
