The 3rd Asia and Oceania environment management meeting
Asia and Oceania environment management meeting was held in Thailand on Thursday, January 31, 2008. There was attendance from 19 Toshiba group companies, and it became significant 37 total person’s conference.

Corporate Environment Management Division made a presentation of "Moving towards 2050" and "Toshiba Group’s Environmental Vision" etc. as Corporate Environmental Policy. Each in-house company explained its environment policy.

Toshiba group companies in Asia Oceania presented the regional environment policy, the environment activities from the viewpoint of the regulations and the environment policy of the company. Attendees were able to obtain the information of the environmental good practice also by the plant tour.

We have discussion about the activity of the global warming prevention at each companies after watching video of the problem related.

We shared useful information and confirmed it one another to achieve environment policy for Toshiba group companies.


Eco-products International Fair 2008
Now in its fourth year, the Eco-products International Exhibition 2008, with the theme "For Sustainable Development and Better Life", was held at the National Convention Center, Hanoi, Vietnam from 1 - 4 March 2008.
The number of the exhibitors was 91 companies and associations except organizer.

 
 
 
TOSHIBA appealed widely with the products of "B to G", "B to B" and "B to C" that contribute to the environment of society as the environmentally conscious products from “Power generation” to “Energy use in cities”, “Energy use in the office” and “Energy use in the home” for realization of the Environmental Vision 2050.
 
 
 
The exhibition item of the nuclear power plants (showing BWR model) and the power generation related equipment in view of the energy demand that has increased year by year in Vietnam got attention of many people at the fair as the exhibition of TOSHIBA booth only.
 
 
 
Toshiba booth held "Stamp-rally" based on "1.5 million tree planting" of social contributing activity. The participants of the event could get a young plant or the seeds of cosmos.
 
 
 
The costume of “T-Chan” which was a character of Factor T was able to please many children.
 
 
 
The number of total visitors to the exhibition was 98,469(1-Mar. to 4-Mar.). We had guest of over 10,000 public and the government officials for four days.
