Thailand Bangkok, May 27 2014 – Mr.Yukiharu Adachi – President of Toshiba Thailand Co., Ltd. together with the executive team has launched the world’s first 4K Ultra HD, Satellite P series and other new notebook line-ups that come with powerful performance and high quality – Satellite L series, Satellite C series for the Thailand market.
Mr. Adachi said that almost 30 years ago, Toshiba produced the world’s first notebook. Today, Toshiba is still a leader in creativity and continues to develop notebook’s quality to be strong and durable, and at the same time also focused on design, color and compactness. Toshiba brought the qualities of a notebook’s display to the next level by bringing 4K Ultra HD technology from television to the notebook SatelliteP50 and Satellite P50T. This year Toshiba created the notebook with the concept “Built to Last – Quality You Can Trust”, we build long-lasting products with modern designs and trusted in quality by generations.
Mr.Takon Niyomthai – GM of Toshiba Thailand Co., Ltd. said that in this year 2014, the notebook market is returning to a normal trend. Nowadays, the world market trend is moving in the same direction, with a focus on quality and performance. A customer will choose a notebook according to their use and more importantly, a design that is slim and easy to carry, with price as a secondary factor. In Thailand, we introduce the best quality products to enhance the market to be more varied, and to respond to customers’ needs for a modern design. We present a new strategy with the concept “Built to Last – Quality You Can Trust” to focus on products’ quality and new technology such as 4K Ultra HD for the notebook display. In the marketing plan, Toshiba has invested in advertising and public relations to reveal new products as a modern believable brand. Mr. Stamp Apiwat, the famous singer in Thailand is still Toshiba’s presenter to promote our products through newspapers, magazines, online media and out-of-home media. There will be a new album sponsorship next month and a music video tie-in in July. In addition, we have many campaigns to drive sales including road shows, and shop decorations with a premium look.

Satellite P50 & P50t : New 4K Ultra HD featuring stunning displays, premium audio and powerful performance
Satellite P50 series is built to take on the most intensive computing demands and turn heads at the same time. With a rare blend of power and beauty, the premium built P50 series offers the perfect solution for strenuous multi-tasking, media creation and gaming.
The Satellite P50’s 15.6-inch diagonal Ultra HD Clear SuperView touchscreen display shows lifelike crystal-clear definition and houses four times as many pixels as a Full HD screen. Delivering a native 3840 x 2160 resolution with 282 PPI (pixels per inch), the display produces smoother imagery and an astounding level of detail. The display, with IPS technology, also allows for higher resolutions and wider viewing angles, enabling photographers, videographers, graphic designers and entertainment enthusiasts to create, review and view media with the confidence the colors are true and accurate.
Each Ultra HD display is individually calibrated by ChromaTuneTM and is Technicolor® Color Certified during production to realise natural color expression with an accurate color gamut to ensure true to life imagery. In addition users can manage individual color space control of wide-gamut displays and apply to a variety of software applications depending on their use by preinstalled ChromaTuneTM for Toshiba software. As a result, everything displayed on screen is reproduced according to the original intent and there are no mismatches when viewing photos or other imagery.
