Toshiba Presents New Experience with Professional Picture and Best Sound Quality

Revealing 2014 strategy for TV market

Mr. Yukiharu Adachi – President of Toshiba Thailand Co., Ltd. together with the executive team launched the new Digital LED TV L2450, L3450 series, Pro-Theater Series and revealed the TV line-up for year 2014 on Tuesday 22nd April 2014, at SCG Muang Thong Thani Football Stadium. These products will provide high-impact viewing experience with incredibly powerful sound for the entertainment world.

Mr. Adachi mentioned that Digital TV has started in Thailand and the new technology will provide consumers with higher quality entertainment. Toshiba’s TV has evolved to the next level to respond to consumers’ needs with colorful pictures – bright and sharp with dynamic sounds coupled with meticulous design. Toshiba has made available these features with the 2 models launched today. Toshiba aims to be a leader in creating high quality TV to respond to consumer’s lifestyle and increase sales by more than 30% to maintain as No.1 in the Japanese brand TV market.

Mr. Takon Niyomthai – General Manager of Toshiba Thailand Co., Ltd. said that in the marketing plan for year 2014, Toshiba will invest in promotions and continue to support Sports Marketing – the football team SCG Muang Thong United and Alliance Marketing such as GMMZ. In addition, Toshiba cooperates with UIP to create a licensed film for screening at the dealer’s premises. Working closely with dealers, Toshiba launched the campaign “Cheer To Go” in conjunction with the World Cup to provide great promotion deals during this season.

Ms. Ratchaneewan Singpraset, Group Marketing Manager (AV) mentioned that Digital TV will be the first point in the consumers’ mind. Toshiba presents Digital TV model L2450 series that is available in 4 screen sizes – 32”, 40”, 47” and 55”. This model has built-in Digital Tuner DVB-T2 to receive Digital TV signals and other functions to create an enhanced viewing experience.

CEVO Engine is a new technology developed specifically for delivery of picture reproduction to be as accurate to reality as possible. It adapts to the scene, both in contrast and saturation, resulting in deeper and more vivid images. Toshiba’s latest innovation Intelligent Auto View provides the best theatre experience in your own living room. Viewers watching movies, sport and games will enjoy a smooth and uninterrupted display with Active Motion Rate – AMR 200+. Another function is the Auto Clean & Auto Signal Booster for digital broadcasting, the auto clean feature eliminates noise depending on the brightness and movement, made available in the L2450 Series.

In addition to the main functions, the Football Mode allows viewers to see the fast moving ball more clearly and enjoy a similar viewing experience as at the soccer stadium. The Game Mode is welcomed by gamers as it can display excellent sharpness even in dark scenes. The Continuous Viewing Timer displays a timer on the screen for parents to set a timer for children.

The new Toshiba LED TV model comes with the Power Bass Booster to boost the low bass frequencies for better sounding performance. The new digital LED TVs have HDMI, Composite, PC, and Audio out ports to support digital or analog formats. Toshiba’s USB Movie feature supports 28 formats, and allows streaming of multimedia content including videos, pictures and audio via a USB flash drive or external HDD.

Toshiba is proud to present 2 innovations in the L3450 Series with 32” screen size. The first is the “Turbo LED” which increases brightness up to 50%. Picture display will appear smooth in high resolution and can be adjusted by viewers. The “Detail booster” will update all resolutions by recovering the clarity of the display affected by random process signals, providing a clearer and smoother viewing experience. It is supported by YouTube as well.

The L4300 series with screen sizes 39” and 50” is the first Toshiba TV that comes with Android OS. This function allows viewers to have access to more than 3,000 Android applications. L4300 series also has a variety of services including YouTube coupled with Toshiba’s excellent image processing technology for entertainment pleasure.

Ms. Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, Chairperson of the company said that Toshiba focuses on developing product by innovation, especially creative product design that is beyond the technology developed. Toshiba’s products are more than home appliances and can be creative-inspired pieces for all consumers. The innovation that has been invented and further developed will lead to a better life quality for customers.

In areas of environmental innovation, the TV products are constantly redesigned with a focus on using resources efficiently. Using the concept 3R; Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, incorporated in the production process to minimise harm on the environment.
