« Back Toshiba Semiconductor (Thailand) Co., Ltd. Achieves 2016 Prime Minister’s Industry Award for Energy Management

On 26 July, Toshiba Semiconductor (Thailand) Co., Ltd (TST) was presented the Prime Minister’s Industry Award for the Energy Management category, at the annual Prime Minister’s Industry Awards held at Muang Thong Thani in the Nonthaburi province.

TST was among six other companies who won the award in this category, and Mr. Akira Teranishi, Director & General Manager received the award on behalf of TST, from General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of Thailand.

The Prime Minister’s Industry Awards, organized by Thailand’s Ministry of Industry, recognizes companies’ achievements in the seven categories of Productivity, Environmental Quality Preservation, Safety Management, Quality Management, Energy Management, Small and Medium Industries Management, and Logistics Management.

Mr. Yoshiaki Aizawa, President of TST, said, “We are delighted and honored to win this award. TST has implemented various high efficiency machines such as Chiller systems (VSD), High Air systems (MD air dryer), Toshiba LED lamps, and Toshiba motors (IE3). Toshiba’s central monitoring system also ensures that our manufacturing processes are energy-efficient. We also regularly hold sessions to increase our employees’ environmental and energy-saving awareness. Through our advanced manufacturing technology, our products, used widely in consumer products to industrial equipment, have demonstrated excellent performance.”

In addition, TST also won the CSR-DIW Continuous Award, presented by Thailand’s Department of Industrial Works, which recognizes companies in the industrial sector that promote corporate social responsibility.
